Corporate Social Responsibilty / CSR

With the support from the management of Batam View Beach Resort, the first charity project was launched in the Nongsa area a few years ago. The Resort wanted to make a difference to the lives of the needy and destitute by providing medical support and food suppliers including the donation of an ambulance vehicle to cater to emergencies. The Resort has focused its CSR efforts on four villages including Kampung Tereh, Nongsa Pantai, Teluk Mata Ikan and Bakau Serip.

In addition, the Resort has appointed its in-house doctor, Dr Melati Halim to take care of the healthcare needs of the needy and destitute, and she makes regular visits to the villages.

For its CSR contributions, Batam View Beach Resort was given the Anugerah Batan Madani Award in 2009.
